Overview

AssessBook is the new Learning Management System to be utilised by Northern Railway. As part of this update, all current enrolments and completions will be maintained, as well as the wealth of resources/content.

The below guide illustrates how to access the LMS from personal devices.

Step 1

To access the LMS, use the URL northern.assessbook.com from any browser.



Step 2

If you have a Northern email address, use the lefthand login button to access the LMS. This will prompt you to authenticate against your Northern details and AssessBook so that you are kept logged in on the device:



If you do not have a Northern email address or are part of the Engineering directorate, use the righthand login button to access the LMS. This will allow you log in, however, you will be required to log in each time you access the LMS.


Step 3

If using the lefthand login, authenticate using your Northern credentials.

If using the righthand login, authenticate using the username and password that have been allocated (these will have been sent to you via email, or if part of the Engineering directorate, the username will be your clock number).
